Monotypes

 

Water based monotypes 

I used createx monotype ink and base. First the base is applied and allowed to dry. The ink is Applied to plexiglas in a really thin coat and subtraction method using q tips, cardboard, pencils, beaters, etc both while wet and dry.    Thoroughly wet a piece of Bristol board, 2-5 minutes. Blot the paper using a blotter or newsprint paper tablet.  Set press to correct height to get plexiglass and three pieces of paper through the press. Then go full steamboat Willie.
